Gratz on the truck!! But what did you order that made it take so long to build?

 

I have no idea. I searched all over NE OH for a manual transmission, Laramie, diesel, 4X4, LB, QC, with sunroof. I could have lived w/o the sunroof and did not care about color but only found that came close to matching the rest. So had to order the truck.

Then I forgot to order towing package (duh), but hitch and some wiring should be cheap and easy to install so don't see the harm there.

I just picked her up yesterday night, and the new tranny shifts much better than old one, exhaust brake is awesome, power adjustable pedals are great (wife and I same height but like 4 inch difference in inseam), and to top it all off having the electric rear sliding window is too cool!

And the 3.42 gear ratio (and what I perceive to be a wider range in the new tranny's gearing) mean I push a lot less revs - before it seems like I could skip 3rd gear but now it feels better shifting through them all. Ah well it is probably just new truck euphoria
