New 800 HO finally arrived home.

Here are my initial impressions thus far..This baby was built to pull and pull big! Off the line it is a bit more peppy than my 650 but that could be mostly attributed to this having 4:10's as opposed to the 373. You really feel the grunt and potential of this beast at 4th gear and above. You hit the accelerator and you're outta here and I mean in a hurry! The tranny shifts with a little more education under its belt now as well. Gone is the mushy feeling of lackadaisical shifts. The bad news is I bought a $110 chrome exhaust tip for my 650 and wanted to use it on my new 800 so I beat and banged away in the hot son for an hour it seemed in the hopes of saving $110 by removing it from my old one only to find out that this new 800 has what looks to me a 5'' exhaust all the way back. I think GM and Ford will have their hands full and then some now. I can't wait to see the test when it does happen. A word of warning, if you drive one of the new HO's you're either going to be very broken hearted or lighter on the hip, there are NO exceptions.
Upon my trip into work this morning I have noticed that it is quieter as well. I was averaging 16.2 via the on board display.

Wow, 4.10 and the 800? That would pull a house! By the way you describe it, it does what they say and wait till 4th gear for the full 800 ft-lbs to kick in. Towing beast!

I must withdraw my previous 5'' exhaust speculation, However I don't know why my old chrome tip wouldn't go on? I measured it today and it appears to be 4'' so my bad guys. I'll try again when I get home.
I popped the hood today with it at idle and can say without a doubt that its much quieter. I'm going to throw a man sized load behind it this weekend so I'll post those results too.

They are 20'' Ribelle's. Not factory. Dodge still employs the same old tired cookie cutters from the factory.

** Update** The dealer called and said he had ordered a tip for me and according to the vin # it indeed calls for a 5'' so maybe I'm not crazy and just can't measure worth a ****. **
