I made my wife mad back in Jan., she got out of the truck, so I started pulling in off of the road. The road was icy and started spinning. It finally took holt and I bumped her in the butt with the corner of my front bumper. That pushed her to the side, and then she spun around and whipped a 1/2 gallon glass milk jug at the truck. It pushed in the passenger rear door handle a little and put 2 dents in the door skin. The bottle went up to the black trim below the window and caved-in the sharp corner at the side of the window about 3/4 of an inch long .
Her nickname now is Chief cook and bottle chucker. . Just recently, my 12 yr. old son put a ding in our 2001 Lesabre, just above the taillight on drivers side. He did that tossing a BASEBALL up around the car. I told him his whole life not to play with anything around the vehicles. He fessed up, but did'nt have to , being nobody saw him do it . Made me happy he did so. . All in jest- like mother like son. 20 years ago I would have been fit to be tied, at 45 now, things like this is taken all in stride. Managed to push out both vehicles dents fairly easy. The one on my Dodge, by the window will need some body fill. Still debateing what to do, due to the paint seperation issue in the 2003- 2500 + 3500.

Be carefull Ram guys and gals! My 2003 2500 cummins has 9000 miles and has had 6 dings removed via the paintless method. The sheet metal and bumpers on these new rams are incrediblly thin. My expedition and ranger have much thicker skin and bumpers. This truck is touted as "heavy duty". Some areas of the truck are heavy duty but I would rate the sheet metal and bumpers somewhere between subcompact car and light duty truck. I say this from experience.
Now dont get me started about the paint quality...

Nine months, 18,000 miles, and no dings or cracked windshields yet. Knock on wood!
Actually, I did manage to scrape my passenger side mirror on another vehicle when I drove the truck into our garage. The good news is that the other vehicle shows a scrape mark, but the truck shows nothing! Ram tough?!

I put some Mopar Bright White touch up paint on. From 20 feet away, you can't really tell, but close up, it looks like white out on copy paper. Guess I'm gonna have to take it to a body shop and drop $250.00 or so to have them buff it and paint it.

Funny Scott.... I was just touching up mine (Brite White) yesterday. Hey there's a big white new Dually went up the my street today and turned into a driveway. Looks like Delaware black porcelain tags. Know him? I don't know if it was a diesel but when I saw it coming I was look if it was you. Then I saw the DE plate

Haven't seen many 3rd Gen Cummins at all, really. And I'm always looking.
The main reason I wanted to get that touch up paint on is because those little scrapes were already rusting. Like I said, unless you're close, you can't tell, but I know there's "white-out" on there. Plus, there's a little dent.
These bumpers do seem a bit flimsy. I had a nice aftermarket bumper on the 97. Problem here his, this is the Sport package, and bumper is painted, not chrome.
