Giddyup!!!!

Congrats Utah. I have been pondering getting a 2003, but I have so much into my current truck, that I'd be heartbroken to get rid of it, so I'm going to wait until I can afford two!

Congrats Utah! I ordered mine a month after you did so I still have quite a wait. We ordered the same color so I'm looking forward to hear how you like it. Be sure to post a picture when it arrives.

The Boss Hog

Thanks for the support, boys. 8) ;D

This is the first vehicle I've had built to spec. Dealers have located others out of regional/national inventories for me, but nothing like this.

Our buddy Hunter makes a good point. Apparently, the Dodge tracking system is not regularly updated. Watching this issue on three boards I belong to - it appears it can take 7-10 days for the system to be updated. So, you could call today and your truck is "D1" (scheduled) yet call tomorrow and it's been shipped.

Once she arrives she gets:
- 2" front leveling kit
- 315/70/17 BFG KO/TA's (35&quot
- Westin stainless tube side steps
- Black rear window louvers

Either way, I am one happy boy!

Best to y'all
Utah Bill

Re:My Baby is being BORN!

Mine is still on the rail, in Oregon. One day delay, due in tomorrow (supposed to be in this AM) but that is fine, just her to me with all her rims and tires etc. intact, a nice healthy baby!

Hunter

Boss Hog,

My man, you are in deep doo doo. If Doris saw that we will be having to ship you care packages for the next year. You better hibernate in the swamps for a while. I'll meet you halfway at the big pond and we'll do a little bass fishin' - - eat some swamp cabbage - - chase a couple gators. Hey, a man has to survive.

Bob

Re:My Baby is being BORN!

Once she arrives she gets:
- 2" front leveling kit
- 315/70/17 BFG KO/TA's (35&quot
- Westin stainless tube side steps
- Black rear window louvers

??? ???
Hello guys. This is my first post. I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now trying to learn all I can about the new Dodge diesel pickups. I have one on order due the first of December. It's a 4X4 auto ( my first diesel) and I'm trying to decide what tires I want to put on it when it gets here. Utah, can you tell me how/why you decided on the 35" BFG's ? I'm considering these tires and the 33-35" Procomp all terrains. My concerns are that I want a nice proportional and practical tire that's not too small or not so large that my truck looks like monster truck. All replies, suggestions, opinions, etc appreciated. Thanks, Dean in FTW ???
Re:My Baby is being BORN!

Sounds good, Dean. 8) Oh, and Welcome too! ;D

Just my .02:

Well, I've also looked at the Pro-Comp tires. I have a set on my Rover D90 and they perform well. However, I'm not real comfortable running them on a vehicle that weighs this much and will tow/haul. I just have not seen enough of the Pro-Comps run on these trucks to be able to decide if they're up to it.

In my opinion, the BFG AT is a proven tire that can take abuse. The BFG 35" is D-rated (as is the Pro-Comp), but has established a solid performance record with the HD Chevs, Dodges, and Fords that tow and haul.

Best to y'all
Bill

Re:My Baby is being BORN!

Thanks for the info UTAH. I've been reading good things about the ProComps but I think I'll probably go with BFGs. I've found a preety good source for them, if you need it let me know. I'd sure like to see a picture of a 2003 2500 with a set of 35's and/or 33's. Be sure to post a picture of yours when you get your tires.
