Mounting a 37" spare?
I`ve got a 35 in. tire in the stock spare location , under the bed. The 35 is less than 2 inches difference total (really only about 3/4 of an inch on top , and 3/4 in. on bottom) , and that`s a lot closer than a "space saver" type spare most veh. have. It should , at least get me home.
I had custom bumpers built for my truck by www.4x4labs.com
One side as a swing-a-way for a spare (I'm running a 35 now, but will fit a 37), the other side holds a swing-a-way that carries for jerry cans.
It's been driven to Baja dozens of times and is www.desertproven.com

Thanks for all the inputs, they are all awesome ideas. They have caused the brain to stir up another idea though. I think I am going to design up a nice bed mounting system for it, but that leaves the underside of the truck empty. Can the chain under the truck be beefed up enough to carry say a small "truck/tool" box? Just curious if everyone has ever seen or heard of anything like this?
