moog ball joints anyway to grease the bottoms?
moog ball joints anyway to grease the bottoms?
ok so i see you have to take out the grease zerk when installing the axle shaft for these ball joints is there any way to grease them when the axle is in? thanks
The ones I got, also moog, have the lower grease zerk mounted at an angle so you can leave them in when installed. If they didn't have the angled zerks, I would probably use one of the really small needle fittings to poke through the rubber on the ball joint and add the grease that way.
I have the NAPA one on my. I just turn the rotor outwards & rotate the axel until I can get my Lincon 90 degree grease coupling onto the straight fitting. I always do this with when I rotate tires to make my life easier.
The angle ones can stay in once you put the axle shafts back in. Just dont do what I did, and make sure you rotate the ball joint a little so the grease fitting is pointing in a bit so you dont have to turn the wheels to grease it.
