installing grease fitting on moog ball joints

so i just pressed in new moog lower greasable ball joints but the port for the grease fitting isn't threaded? Looks like the fitting is self-tapping, but wondering how far to thread it in. Looks like it can't go in very far before hitting the internals, which makes me wonder if it will clear axle yokes. Is there a better way to orient them than the hole towards the front?

I bottomed mine out , but be careful , once they bottom they can break .
The reason I bottomed , was to make room to pass by the u-joint , one side I left it in the other side , I need to put a plug in , will not clear , just use the zirk to lube , then put the plug in .

thanks john. I did the same, clears on the drivers side but passengers side looks close. Did yours come with plugs?
