mega cab rear seat

the drivers side section of the rear seat will no longer reclines or fold flat anymore. Cables seem tight, but won't release the latching system.
anybody else have this happen?

I had this hapen. I sprayed down all the cables and hardware in WD 40 and it worked. I didnt have any rust that I could see and the handle still moved when I did it.

A friend had the same issue, it must be an Alberta thing.

The seat on mine got tight like it had pressure on it and then when my son reclined it popped the cable out of the handle. I have yet to fix it.

We have a similar issue on both our rear seats. The passanger side will fold down with a lot of effort but won't slide forward or recline. The drivers side will do all 3 but with a lot of effort. Will try spraying it down with wd-40 but will check back to see if anyone else has a better idea!

I cannot lay the passenger side rear seat down. The Micky mouse plastic holder for the release cable broke. My dealer said it would cost $240 to fix, so I haven't done it yet. Someday I wile remove the back seat and fix it with a metal holder. I fixed the brake release with a metal part I pop-riveted on to take the place of the plastic part that broke - $36 plus labor at the dealer.
