Looking for a nice heavy duty aftermarket tailgate.

I use mine ALOT to load heavy 600+ lb things in and out of. I can tell my cables are already getting weak from putting so much on it so often so I think I should look into buying a heavier duty aftermarket tailgate.
Any ideas where I should start looking?

thanks guys

usually the stock ones are the strongest...aftermarket ones are thin and weak
try making some thicker cables maybe???

buy a big piece of thick sheet steel maybe 1/4" or 3/16"??? and have it cut to fit the back side of the tailgate..then mount it to the tail gate and you should be able to put a ton more weight on the t-gate..thick sheet steel should spread the load across the tailgate a lot better
just another idea?????

A lift gate is your best bet. If it is stressing the cables, it is stressing the mounts and everything else.

Well, if you decide to build your own, or have one fabricated, this one on my old dodge is extremely solid...a little rough maybe for what you're wanting, but might give some ideas!
