Was thinking of installing led's on my trailer. I am wondering if the truck is going to like it. I know that when installing led's on the truck it will require using load resistors. I just don't know if the trucks trailer circuit is capable of dealing with the led's without the resistors. Since it is all handled in the tipm, I cant even install a flasher relay designed for led's. Anybody have experience with this? Thanks.

 

My trailer came equipped with LED lights. I just plugged them in, and they work just fine. Same with my '01 Dakota.

 

your led trailer lights will work just fine. I have them great lights for a trailer. No more fooling with bad bulb connections

 

That's what I wanted to hear. I'm getting tired of the cheap/problematic lights that the trailer came with. Looks like it will cost right at $100 to replace everything.

 

your truck will really like the trailer led's. this will help prevent a lot of problems with the tipcm. and you can change the 06 truck to led hid with out load resistors but you have to be very electronic savvy. for me it was worth the trouble
