Leather question.....

Does all leather on 2004s come with the suede insert?
Just wondering if mine was something special.

I might be off base here but I THINK that the suede inserts come only with the Laramie package. Leather ordered with other trim levels doesn't have the insert. But...I could be wrong.

Question

New to the site and want to thank everybody for the great help in buying my truck. Just a quick question on the leather interior- My 03 Laramie seems to have very little actual leather in it. The front 2 buckets are leather faced only with suede inset whereas the rear seats only have the suede inset and no other leather facing as outlined in the 03&04 brochures. The salesman told me the rears were leather as well but it looks like vinyl to me. Anybody in the know please reply. Thanks

My understanding is that only the front seats, even with the Laramie package, are leather trimmed. I don't think any truck manufacturer offers a full leather seat, just leather trimmed, the part you sit on or lean back on.

dcorneli is right. The inserts are only available with the Laramie pakage. At least that's how it was when I ordered my 2004 last August.

One of the articles posted here mentioned that the 2004.5 leather package (non-Laramie) now comes with the leather inserts. I don't know about it's accuracy...Mike

Back Seat

Back seat is definitely NOT leather. My 2003 does not have suede inserts. I didn't want then so it was on my list of reasons for not gettting the Laramie.

You guys need to look at the Texas Ranch edition Ram's that are being built. WOW! Leather coming off King Ranch, just like the Ford King Ranch edition. I saw one at local dealer in a 1500, don't know about 2500/3500 pkg....
