Just in case I opened up a bad case of worms, I don't think it's right for folks to be driving with the odometer disconnected. I do, however, like to know what this feature is about, It kind of bugs me that it's not in the manual.

I can't see the video, but I don't think it's a "feature".

It's probably more of a quirk, and the resulting performance from a cheap ignition switch.

I agree, I think the Hemi guys used this at the track. May have also changed their trans shift points some, not sure. I have tried it on my truck quite a while back. I did get the key back 1/2 position. OD and guages dead, truck still ran ok, I was too chicken to really get into it. The next time I tried it, could not seem to find that sweet spot and the truck would die. A little to iffy to be safe for me and I try some pretty dumb things.

I would assume that even if it does disconnet the odo, they are probably recording it in the computer so the dealer would know the true mileage.

it has been hit and miss so far. milage, speed, radio, windows, a/c all stop most the time. the last time the radio stayed on and everything else above stopped. so your saying the computer still records the milage huh? interesting. y would the computer still record milage but not send the signal to the odometer and if so, y wouldn't the computer after out of this mode set the odometer to its true setting?

It shut my whole truck off just like normal. Couldn't find a "click" in the switch like you all are saying!!!
