Ever since I bought my truck I have been able to wiggle the key when it is in the ACC position and make the door open dinger stop. The radio screen also will go blank. For me this comes in handy when listen to the radio while working near my truck and I don't have to listen to that dinging noise ever time I get out. Does anybody else have this feature?

 

I'll have to check. Is it your 03 or 07?

 

Is that an aftermarket key? (spare) I can do that with a key cut from lowes, I think it's a tiny bit shorter than the stock ones.

 

One of my keys will do that.

my key does this also.

 

I always do that when I want music with the doors open and truck in the garage.

 

The '03 Both factory keys do it. I wish I could make the '07 do it too.

 

I'm goona have to try this! My old way was to leave the door open with the lock in the "closed" possition and then after I was done close the door and hear a BONG I forgot to "open" the latch!

 

Mine will do this too. Just read on the other site that you can grind a little bit off of the tip of the key and it won't make contact w/ the switch.
