Cool Jounce Bumper is toast, need help

It started out as simple oil change, but being the inspector I am, I noticed the jounce bumper mount for the left lower control arm had some corrosion and an apparent hole in the bumper. I reached over and gave a slight tug and it came off. The inner foam is rotten.

This thing appears to be crimped in the mount. The cup is welded on top of the LCA and there are four tabs.

I ordered two OEM replacements but dont know if they are mounted in the cup or not.

Does anyone know how to install a jounce bumper??

TIA

Ah, there IS life!

Yes, bump stop, jounce bumper (DCs name for it), or lower control arm bumper.

Most any bump stop will work if the height is right. I used to replace all the bump stops on my vehicles with Energy Suspension products as the price was right and the parts dont weather check from the elements.

KORE sells one that's slightly taller, wider and softer. $55.00. Thuren sells a poly one thats much larger yet and different construction. Then there's the hydrobumps from Carli @ $850.00. The factory's are like rocks.

Thanks for the respponse. I checked the websites and those are for rear and 4WD unless I'm missing something. I'm a 2WD puke.

Thanks Clane

Got the stops today. Ordered OEM 52113300AB (for 2003-2008 2WD front). They do just slip in exiting cup as Clane stated.
