You may find more info at: http://www.ilounge.com/

I think the best sound and convenience is by the hardwire route. Price sounds about right for install, these are not cheap. The iPod connects to harness in glove box, you control it from the head unit as you would a CD changer.

A $50 FM transmitter is great for pod casts, and may be OK for music for you, my kids use one. Think about one that plugs into the lighter socket and charges the iPod. If you live in an area with plenty of strong FM stations, you could get some interference from time to time.

You can get a $20 tape adapter, if that CD head unit also has a cassette player. I think the music sounds better, but there are cables hanging around.

My 06 radio has an audio input jack on the front, most convenient.

I would think you could find an '06 radio with the front aux connection pretty cheap. The only down side is you must use the Ipod for control.

By the way..... Why would you "ditch" the fastest thing you owned - ZX-14?

Use the Mopar factory Ipod interface. It controls the Ipod through the steering wheel controls. It even says the name of the songs on the head unit itself. Mopar PN# 82209616AC

Jus Cruzin, I havent seen a 06 radio personally but I was told the 06 radio would not fit in my factory location.

PS. I got into to much trouble in a very short period of time on the zx14.

ChromeGrill, I think the only steering wheel controls is for cruize control? I also went and did a search on yahoo and a mopar catalog came up but had nothing for the ram . Had a bunch of stuff for all other mopars. Any help or a possible link would be great help

I have this in my truck, it might not say for Ram, but DC uses the same radios for all the trucks. That is the correct part #. You don't have steering wheel radio controls on the back of your wheel?

Here is a list of DC radios that the Mopar Ipod adapter will work with. And yes, you can control it though the radio.

Chromegrille is correct. This is for all factory radios and it will control your i-pod though the radio wether or not you have steeringwheel controls.
