interior warrenty

Are my seats covered under warrenty, I have stiching coming out on the back of my drivers seat.I took it to the dealer and they said that it wasnt but they would do what they can, its only at 19K miles and i weigh 155lbs, i mean i could understand them not wanting to fix the seats for a guy thats 350lbs+ but come on? It is a bumper to bumper isnt it??

Yes, they should cover that under a bumper to bumper warranty. Try calling another dealership just to see what their response is.

Oh....but I forgot, maybe DC will say that your tuner voided your entire warranty and caused the stitching to come undone

I had the cushion in the bottom of my seat replaced under waranty with no problem.
The dealer said it was a common problem for the padding to bunch up like it did. They didn't even blink an eye when asked about it.

my recline lever broke off last week. i slipped getting into the truck and hit it with my hip, i wonder if they will warranty that without opening the hood? not trying to hose the dealer with my powertrain mods, but the motor shouldnt be a concern with the seat problem.

Im getting pinned back in my seat to hard from those boosted launches lmao, also i have a few stains on my seat from snow falling on them during the last storm, they said that water always stains seats, but they got the stains out. So i asked him why do i still see all of the stains and he told be its because those are clean spots and the rest of my seat is dirty...i get my truck detailed and the interior shampoed all the time is this normal? Should i complain about this to?

The seats are fecal matter. I have considered trading in my truck on a chevy just because the seats are so crappy. Its amazing that DC cant figure that out. As anyone knows with an 06, you cant look directly at them without potenitally incurring a stain. And comfort, whoa nelly; it reminds me of riding around as a kid in my dad's work van sitting on a 5gal bucket. I talked to the dealer about the pad and they said it is fine; maybe I should look to another dealer as some folks have been able to have them repadded. On a positive note; today I had my wifes car in for an oil change so I wandered over to the Dodge dealer (an odd combination BMW/VW/Dodge together). The 07 trucks have YES essentials for seats that are stain, odor, and fade resistent. I might look in to buying 07 seat skins once these get too stained from that terrible acid rain that occassionally hits them.

Yes Essentials=sharkskin.

My '07 has the Yes Essential fabric and it seems super durable(some form of Cordura) but it has the course touch of sharkskin or something. I've got covers coming from Marathon which should make it easier to slide in and out, plus keeping them like new. The six way seats with lumbar and adjustable pedals makes for numerous combinations for comfort.

I hated the cloth interior so bad I ordered a new interior from Katzkins. The installer is going to add more foam to the butt and back from me in all the seats. Got a nice two tone leather (lt grey outer, mist grey perforated suede inserts). Will make sure to post some pics after I get it installed this Friday.

Ditto on the YES material. My 5 year old spilled a drink his second time in the truck. Beaded right up like a duck. That material saved his life.

Saved his life huh, i know what you mean. I tell my kids all the time if they spill in the truck their wounds will heal but the stain will last a lifetime. I dont think they see the humor in it; I know my wife doesnt!
