instrument lights

does anyone know if there are individual bulbs that go into the dash to make it light up? if so what are the kind of lights (part numbers). i'm wanting to change them out to LEDs but don't know what kind to order. thanks

From what I've been told their are individual lights behind the instrument cluster. My fuel and RPM gauges are dim. I don't have a P/N for them nor do I know if they make LED bulbs for them.

I 'm going by the Dodge dealer today, i'll get a P/N for them.

I was thinking about doing this myself but I stopped because I don't think you will be able to dim the dash lights with LED's. You will either be on or off, maybe I am wrong...

I changed mine out a couple years back....a few were burned out. Very easy process aside from removing the gauge cluster. Had to buy them from the dealer...I believe around $5 a piece.

Oh sure you can change them out. I used a pair of needle nose plyers to gently grab and turn them 1/4 turn or so and they come right out. When I changed one, and put everything together, the first time I turned on the lights another one would blow. After a few rounds of this, someone suggested dimming the lights before tearing everything apart. After changing the bulb and putting things back together, turn on the lights and slowly brighten the dash lights. Worked for me.
Back to morning brew...
