Instrument cluster lighting

I have an 07.5 diesel w/white on black gages. I believe that there is a way to change the backlighting of the instrument panel. Does anyone know how?
I am pretty sure that happened with mine. My friend pushed some buttons and the back lighting is gone. I can only see the needle and numbers instead of the whole gage.

I've got an '06 so I'm not sure if it's the same as your '07.5 or if my "fix" is correct, but on my truck next to the light switch is a small rotary dial. If you turn the dial with the dash lights on, the instrument panel lights can be adjusted from no light (dark) to brightly lite. Hope that helps.

If not, from what I've been reading, the newest models have some interesting
features associated with the overhead. Check you owners manual and it might give you the answer. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I am aware of the dim dial. I am talking about different type of back lighting. The whole gage lights up instead of just the numbers and needles
