Instrument panel lighting?

Hey all, am new to the site and didn't find much help in doing a search. I just purchased my first diesel, an '03 QC 2500. It has 105,000 and I've noticed that there are a couple areas in the gauge cluster that appear darker than others, there is some light that comes through but definately not as bright as others. Is this just a couple bulbs burned out or something else do you think? Also I remember seing something somewhere about a cluster "flash", can someone explain this? Thnx for any help.

I had a dark spot in the coolant temp. area about 3 weeks ago. Turned out to be a burned out cluster bulb. Bought 2 at the dealership fortunately cause a week after replacing that one another went out in the tach area. Mopar part # 4839738AA - $.70 each. Might be hard to find one elsewhere, the bulb is mounted in a twist in plastic base. 1/4 turn CCW will remove it.

Thanks. I stopped by dealer this morning and got 6 bulbs, as I suspected I had 3 that were burned out. Now everything is good.
