Only thing I would change is the black interior. With a Dalmatian and construction equipment in the cab it is rarely ever clean. Other than that it is just fine.

You taught your dalmation how to work in construction? ;D Power and hand tools (or is it paw tools)?
He must have no problems with the hand shaker, I'm guessing if he can handle a mitre saw. He must love the adjustable pedals option.

Re:If you could do it over again
mmmm lets see.
Long box instead of short. Bun warmers ( i thought they were standard on the Laramie as well). And maybe a color instead of white. I like white but all my vehicles are white. Black looks the best to me but is a bear to keep clean and may not hold up well in the desert sun.

...buddy rear ended me a couple of weeks ago with his Ford.
Lemme guess, you were impressing upon him how much power you had, he tried to catch up, then you showed him how good the brakes were?!

Yup,we were going sledding on the 20th,crossing a single lane wooden bridge.I was half way across when some jackass came sliding around the corner, and stopped sideways right at the entrance of the bridge.I slid to the end of the bridge and stopped when I hit the pavement,my buddy was not so fortunate. He slammed into me with two sleds on the back of his truck, and two brand new 900 Kingcats on mine. When I say brand new,I mean they have only been run onto the truck and that's it.After all of the dust settled, there were two sleds on the road,a 99 Ford written off,and my 5 month old dually with $12,489.00 worth of damage to it.
I just picked up my 04 today, and the guy that rammed me is going to buy my 03 when it gets out of the bodyshop.

It is more of a spectator sport to him. He does like to come to the jobsites when it is not too busy, usually grabs some sun in a corner and keeps an eye on things. Always lets me know if someone comes around. Great entertainment for the kids. Sometimes picks up scrap wood and piles it in the way..

I wouldn't have gotten the Hemi first...I should have gone straight to the Cummins ;D but then there wouldn't have been the 4500 dollar rebate on the 03 ;D ;D

I agree about skipping the hemi. Made that mistake myself. Actually believed the hype, so have only myself to blame. But... if I'd skipped the hemi, I'd own a 47RE trans and be worried about it. AND, I'm buying my '04 on employee price,so not loosing all that much on the '03. The '04 is almost the same truck as the '03 except a 2500 with the HO CTD.

Re:If you could do it over again
I got the chance to do it over .So i went with a red 3500 just so i could have the red neck lights ;D now i kind of wish i ordered the 6sp .Anybody know if you can change your order while the truck is being built :
Re:If you could do it over again
Only thing I would change is the Stereo, I got the Standard one. The NAV-RB1 with Sirius Satellite would have been nice.
For now I just added a Streamer.
03 2500 SO SLT QC 4x4 48RE, 3.73's, Limited Slip, white/silver exterior with body molding, Dark Gray slate interior, premium cloth power seat, power pedals,(load flat floor- very nice) heated tow mirrors, tow package, rear window defogger, Alloy wheels, fog lamps.
Additions I have made and would make again:
Line-X, Tail gate cap, lowered the rear 1.25", 285 Toyo's, DC Mud Flaps, DeeZee nerfs, De-badged, Air Dam removed, Sport grill insert with a Laramie grill frame, front license plate bolt holes filled.
Still on my to-do list:
Edge Attitude- when they finally come out, can't get HO in CA but I would Edge that one too! ;D
Stereo Amp and dash speakers- ready for install.
Power Tail gate- for the wife
20" "E" range Nitto Terra Grapplers when a reasonable 20X8.5 with 6" back space wheel comes out.
I test drove a 3500 back to back and it may have just been psychological with the lettering but the 2500 gave a better ride empty. I only tow and don't haul much.
Great post...fun reading all of everyones different tastes.

I wouldn't do the dark slate interior again. It is a poor match with the taupe headliner and pillar covers.[/quote]True but the taupe interior doesn't do a good match up of dash colors with the dark slate either.

Re:If you could do it over again
Would have chose white over dark grey for living off of a gravel road (shows less dust). Other than that this truck is everything I wished my 2001.5 was. Now with the Edge it's actually fun to drive!
