Mine's equipped exactly as I wanted it. My dealer had to transfer it down from PA.

Re:If you could do it over again

If I had my Pat-Blue/Silver shortbed HO/6sp 4x2 to do over again:

--Skipped the leather on my SLT and gone aftermarket with Katzkin instead
--Maybe gone with Red/Silver combo or Graphite Sport instead
--Sometimes I think 4x4 woulda been nice but I haven't found myself stuck in a snowback yet

But. . . I luv my truck!

Re:If you could do it over again

I was completely happy with my 96 3500..so when i bought this truck i was amazed at the evolution over the last few years...i have the 3.73's and only tow up to 10k or so and pull alot of good sized hills.. and even stock have no complaints...if i towed heavier and was always in the mountians..perhaps 4:10's might be the way to go...so far i have only minor issues with funny little noises from interior trim buzzing on rough roads and other minor things like that..but over all..it's a great piece of machinery and i wouldn't hesitate to do it over again...and hell..the alternatives at the Chev and Ford dealer have alot more issues than my Dodge

Re:If you could do it over again

Only thing I would change is the black interior. With a Dalmatian and construction equipment in the cab it is rarely ever clean. Other than that it is just fine.

Only thing I would've got would have been the GAS TANK SKID PLATE! Oh wait, Dodge doesn't put skid plates on 03 4X4.

I have to agree with the guys who don't like the clearence lights. :P The only thing I would consider doing differently is buying a 3500 SRW but only if it came without the lights. Also, the sheepskin covers I added are nice but it would have been better if Dodge had real captain chairs. In other words, I would order the same truck again ;D .

Yeah tell me about it. I always have scary envisions of something piercing the plastic fuel tank during an offroad adventure. I'm sure the tank is much stronger than it looks, but that's just my wishful thinking.

Re:If you could do it over again

I am doing it over again, because my buddy rear ended me a couple of weeks ago with his Ford.Everything will be the same except I think I will try the auto out this time.I have had a 6-speed for four years now,and I think I will try something different.

Lemme guess, you were impressing upon him how much power you had, he tried to catch up, then you showed him how good the brakes were?!

Back to it though, I'm contemplating doing it over but with a 3500 HO, only cuz I can! Luv my truck ;D
