If you could do it over again

Knowing what you know now, if you could do it over again - what would you do???

I really like my truck - 8500+ lb truck that gets 20 MPG is great.

But if I could do it over again I think I would go with the 6 speed and a 4.10 rear because of the E-brake issues. I bought the truck with towing in mind and all the lit said an E-brake would be available, now we know better. Other then that, I would keep it the same.

What say ye....

Re:If you could do it over again

That's a great question.
1. Woulda got a 6 spd.
2. Woulda got a while Dually.

3......I THINK MY WIFE IS GETTING THE ABOVE FOR ME FOR CHRISTMAS!! 8)
I keep telling her I want to upgrade the tranny (ATS) and get some power mods...she asked me the price...she said why not just get a new truck....anyway, she's got some top secret stuff going on and I really think she's working on a new rig for me. We'll see. She said I'd be VERY surprised

Re:If you could do it over again

SRW 3500, not 2500
probably not silver, just too many of them out there...
aluminum wheels, can't stand these chrome steelies :-X
would'a got my Rhino sprayed somewhere else
would love to have dual climate control, but don't really want the rest of the "package"

and I go back and forth about wishing I had the 4.10 so it wouldn't be a mileage or power hit to put on the 315s

Re:If you could do it over again

1) Would at least considered a 3500
2) Would have tried to negotiate to get the trailer mirrors

Wish I could have gotten a dually but I am pushing it with the truck as it stands. Our company is very conservative and likes very plain vanilla vehicles. Oh well, soon as it is paid for I am going to add the training wheels, park it and get another company car to put boring miles on.

Re:If you could do it over again

Wow, did I luck out or what? 8)
Soo many would go for the six speed. And white dually. Wow, are you telling me I did something right the first time - - for the first time in my life? :P 8) ;D

AmazedBob

ps: I would repeat exactly the same - - just wish we could get some nice captain's seats like the other guys.

Re:If you could do it over again

Would have got a 4X4. That's what I really wanted but I was being *practical* this time and said I didn't need a 4X4. Actually I don't but it's still what I wanted...the mileage sucks so bad on this 4X2 that I might as well have gotten the 4X4. At least then I could have said "Oh well, it's got the front differential engaged so what would I expect?"

Otherwise the truck is awesome. And I got it for a great price too. Hard to beat $24900.

Re:If you could do it over again

Would get exactly the same except add the e-brake. As Rob said, would love to get the dual climate control but do not want the rest of that expensive package.

Re:If you could do it over again

Would've considered a 3500 dually, 4x2, 4.10, 6-speed.
Would still like to drive one , just to see .

But at any rate mine is an awsome truck.

Re:If you could do it over again

I would have held off for an '04 as they are all HO's. I don't mind my SO, but now I feel the need for MORE power! And I would have gotten the aluminum wheels, these chrome wheel skins are lame :...-Steve
