If I had to do it over....

Lighter color, the dark green metallic shows every spec of dirt, and it's just a so-so color anyway.
Fold flat floor.

Ummm. I guess that's it.

Really happy with my rig.

I wouldn't have gotten the Hemi first...I should have gone straight to the Cummins ;D but then there wouldn't have been the 4500 dollar rebate on the 03 ;D ;D

Re:If you could do it over again

Just turned over 10,000 miles today.

Love it.

Only possible change would be to consider the 3500 srw, if I could have gotten one without those ugly cab lights.

Love my truck. Along with my custom made 1968 Mustang convertible, this is the greatest vehicle I've ever owned.

Mine is a keeper too. Just over 2000 miles now and getting better every day. Mileage is about 70% towing and the difference between it and my previous truck ('96 CTD 5 speed) is amazing. Still on my shopping list is: Kodiak Sidewinders and 285 or 305 tires. ;D

YOU GUYS BETTER LAY OFF OF MY CLEARANCE LIGHTS!! > Yes I was yelling but I'm over it now.
I love my truck but I wish I could've gotten the 48RE trans. I'm constantly thinking about if I'm pushing the truck too hard especially with the new Edge box but if the trans starts to go I'm gonna do some serious neutral drops to break it all the way and get a replacement 48RE under warranty . An HO would've been nice but I was shopping for a great deal and that's what I got(Plus, now it is High Output). A six speed would be nice if I didn't have to sit in DC traffic everyday. So in conclusion, I'm happy with my choice....

My 2500 has the optional clearance lamps. Looks good with the Lt. Almond color. Maybe I should just change the 2 to a 3 on the badges and be happy?

I added the clearance lights to my 2500 as well - I just like the look. If I did it over, I'd add the heated seats (dealer thought they came with the Laramie package), but that's about it. Engine is awesome, 6sp is fine even in DC area traffic, and I still get a big silly grin on my face every time I drive the thing. ;D

    That's a great question.
    1. Woulda got a 6 spd.
    2. Woulda got a while Dually.

3......I THINK MY WIFE IS GETTING THE ABOVE FOR ME FOR CHRISTMAS!! 8)
I keep telling her I want to upgrade the tranny (ATS) and get some power mods...she asked me the price...she said why not just get a new truck....anyway, she's got some top secret stuff going on and I really think she's working on a new rig for me. We'll see. She said I'd be VERY surprised
    [/quote]

Wow! Does your wife have an available sister that is as generous? ;D Back to the question. I wouldn't change a thing.

Re:If you could do it over again

That's funny so many say they hate the cab lights, they almost made me pass on my 2500... Until I got to the lot and saw it. Now I love them. wouldn't have a HD without them.

but the things I'm happiest I got are
    HO
    6spd
    4x4
    tow mirrors
    fold flat floor...
    Did I say HO

I just can't figure out why anyone would buy anything less???(except for those poor souls that live in the commi states, then I just wouldn't buy new ;D)

Re:If you could do it over again

I wouldn't change a thing. Just turned 28,000 miles and one-year old. Half of mileage is towing an 8500# race car trailer over the Sierras. Just came back from an 8000 mile round-trip to Vermont. Had three adults on board for entire trip and five for 2000 miles of it. Very comfortable for all concerned. Average fuel miles for entire 28,000 miles is 15.8 (by computer spreadsheet) all at legal speeds. Remember that the faster you go the lower your mileage will be due to wind resistance. It will also show up when you're running 65-75 and hit a 20-30 mph headwind. Problems so far - blew a turbocharge seal early on but they have redesigned it and no trouble since - also had to replace the exhaust brake switch. I do think that Dodge tech leaves a lot to be desired but that's another story. What would I like to see Dodge add? An altimeter in the overhead computer.
