How to remove tail light?

I know this is a dork of a question, but I don't really have time (nor daylight) right now to mess wtih it. I was out at 4am before work trying to replace a bulb, I won't get home until after dark, and I don't have time searching the fixture for the hidden bolt in the dark.

How do you remove the rear tail light unit? I know of the two screws at the tailgate area - but what does the tail light attach to on the outside? I don't want to just pull and break something...

Thanks.

That is a process I don't even let my best customers watch. You basically grab the lense assy and give it a hard tug. The mounts will pop out. Put a little dab of grease on them for the install.

grab the top and bottom and pull straight rearward. good sharp tug. it sounds like you are ripping the light apart but no to worry.

it gets better with time. As you do it more times it will get looser. At least thats what I've found from the headlights.
