I bought some fender flares from a nice fella on here and went to see how much it would cost to have them painted. I have a friend who has a body shop and I told him my paint code which is PBJ aka atlatic blue. He told me it would be $325 for the paint and some flexible additive. Apparently the paint has some "special metallics " in it? These are ATS flares and on ebay you can buy the flares for about $275 and have ATS paint them at their factory for an additional $180. Anyone have this problem or did he go to the wrong paint store?

 

You can get the ATS flares paint matched and delivered to your door for $379.00 on eBay. I'd say that $275 + $325 is about $221.00 too expensive.

That sounds a little steep. Everything is more expensive up here and it cost me $50 per flareā€¦.scuff, prime, paint, clear, all with flex additive.

 

Sounds like someones trying to screw me
