Hey diesel brothers
I've been sitting at the sidelines long enough. Certainly appreciate the information on these theads. The dealerships are quite ignorant, not necessarily their fault. But hands on has always been the most insightful way. Bombing sounds cool for those past warranty or those with money to burn , but I can't deny stock power neither. 15,072 on my 305-555 2003 QC and I love-it!

Welcome to DTR! Good your not on the sidelines anymore! I used to lurk around here, but since I got on board I have learned alot, there are some really knowledgable folks around here that freely share their info. And you are absolutely right about about the dealers ignorance. One thing I have learned here is: do as much of the maintenance as you can, yourself! You'll learn much more about your truck and save some big $- Steve

Thank -you for the welcome Steve. As Iron sharpens Iron may we all continue to grow in knowledge and keep our rigs running top notch. I don't care for controversy that much, I do know that I bought a good truck w/ agreat engine.
I,m having fun with it stock for now and it is not hard to be first up these hills where I live. I just don't need a speeding ticket, although the adrenline rush is wild as I approuch the 2-lane hills.

Actually I'm in the Plymouth -Beaver Meadow area. You from Paris Hill? I've been through there many times on my way McQuade-Brannigan or Northland Woodworking supplies in Utica. Certainly a nice stretch of road. Rte. 20 West is nice too.

Hey Spudman, I think I know exactly where you are at. Heading toward Utica, on the left side of the Road? Your last name starts with a P and hard to pronounce? The drifts get big up there. I'm up on a hill here too. Elevation 1810', but we have alot of trees close by. The my nearest neigbor does'nt and man o' man. What your trucks description.

Hey Forstner, welcome to the site!! I'm sure that you will have a good time here as well as with your truck. As woodworking is more than a hobby for me, more like therapy, does your screen name have a woodworking connection? Like the drill bits?

Randy:
I used to earn my living working with wood, also. I was chief cabinetmaker for a company that built church furniture (pulpits, pews, etc.) and furniture for the federal government. That was a long time ago, and in between teaching jobs. Now I build occasionally for others, but mainly for myself. As I said, it's really therapy for me. Wood doesn't give you nearly as much grief as students or administrators do.
