Band of Brothers
Band of Brothers
Just finished watching the DVD Band of Brothers today and it is a great flick.
It's a whole 10 hours long but well worth watching if you get a chance. It's 6 discs with one of them being a bonus documentary.

Don't want to give any of it away so I wont say anymore, but if you like WWII movies you need to check this one out. It's really, really good.
Much better than Saving Privet Ryan IMHO.

DB

Re:Band of Brothers
You are absolutely correct. I used to catch it on HBO while on the road. That show kicked butt. IMHO the only thing HBO has made in a while that is worth a crap.

The guy who plays the Army Colonel is a real-life former USMC Colonel who advises Hollywood for military accuracy.
Re:Band of Brothers
Good Flic and having Tom Hanks as part of the Production team is the reason it is so good. A great deal of that movie
follows very closely the action that this unit was involved in WWII. And it does it in a correct manner, rather than the Hero merely tying a bandana around his head and then jumping over mortar fire at a dead run :

Good Movie and one that a soldier can enjoy without laughing at the absurdity of Hollywood's stunts.

I give it a 78 because it had a great beat and was easy to dance too! ;D
