Help: Removing dash pieces?
Help: Removing dash pieces?
Before I go disassembling the entire dash and risk breaking something . . . perhaps someone could lead me in the right direction.
I need to remove the plastic piece behind the manual shifter. It's the piece to which some folks attach their brake controllers.

I would like to take this piece out and do a little dremel work on it to recess my brake controller a little.
I've gotta help a buddy tow a heavy load this weekend. Nothing like a deadline to get me motivated!

Do a search for REC Navigation. There's a topic started by Phil Howell that goes into great detail about removing the whole center dash. Just go as far as you need in the directions. It's pretty simple....

Thanks. Wasn't finding what I needed via the search terms I tried.
