Hello I have a 08 Laramie front bumper and need the plastic front license plate mount for it. I've already ordered and received an incorrect one from an online retailer which only fits the regular chrome SLT bumper even though it was labeled to fit a Sport model (which looks like my Laramie bumper).

I ran into the same problem with LMC truck as well as they list the same part number for the Sport bumper mount and SLT bumper mount (pn# 55-1862 page 15-16) even though they obviously dont look the same and wont fit my 08 Laramie bumper. I even talked to someone at LMC and they were worthless and couldn't understand what I was trying to say.

Could someone help me out with a correct part number (one that doesn't share the same number as the SLT) and a link to buy it online as I dont live near a dealership.

It might be simpler if you get the part number from the dealer first, then shop price so you get the right part.

I THINK this is the correct part number for the sport/laramie bumper license plate brackets: 55077810AA

I'm in a similar boat (swapped a laramie bumper to my slt) and that's where my research has taken me. I'll update once I've verified.

I dont live near a dealership.

 

I just had my local dealership bring one in from their Dallas warehouse. If you put that part number in a google search there are plenty of online options that are right about the same price as I paid at the dealer (~$45).

Funny, the front bracket for a Sport/Laramie bumper is literally twice the price of the bracket for the ST/SLT bumper. Guess they figure if you are high roller enough for the Sport/Laramie package you are sucker enough to pay 200% for a piece of plastic. Touche, Chrysler.
