HELLO EVERYONE. I just bought an 06 quad 3500 4x4 yesterday and my door ajar light and interior lights stay on, also my heater fan blows but nothing comes out of the vents. Any suggestions?

The door ajar is a function of the instrument cluster. The heat/ac doors are controlled by the HVAC micro controller. To test if the can bus comunication is down, turn the ac on and see if the compressor clutch engages. The clutch is controlled by the TIPM thru the can bus com link. If no clutch engagement, comunication on the can bus is down or there is too mutch electrical noise in the trucks wiring ( rotten wiring connections ). If clutch engages and compressor starts, find a star scan tool and find out what the cluster and micro controller are thinking.
Also check fuses #2 & #33 & #35 and all other fuses to locate a possible electrical problem.

Welcome to DTR. What is happening with your fan, is it is trying is best to blow, but the Recirculation Door is broken and laying on top of the fan intake. The easy fix is to take the fan motor out (three bolts by the front passenger's feet) then reach in and take the door out. Replace the fan. I've been running without my door for years now.

Yeah kinda sounds like your recirc. door went by the wayside. Mine went goofy at the beginning of this summer and man how I realized how much I appreciated the recirc. option after that. Went with the Heater Treater doors and have been extremely satisfied. Quite time consuming if you do it the right way but in the end it's a permanent fix and now even in the Texas heat my a/c blows at 40* or below on recirculate.....however I did also incorporate the heater cut-off valve with it and must say that it helps with an extra 4-5* temp. drop .
