Different Type of Gearhead here saying hello and help!

Firstly, would like to say hi to everyone out here in diesel land! If you didn't guess from my name I do hail from the gas side of going fast but I am a fan of the Dodge Cummins (my dad has a 97 12v 5spd we use as a regular workhorse, tower, ect) and especially with what the likes of Gail Banks does with them. Anyways, the reason I have stopped by is I'm trying to do research on the Holset HX-35W turbo that a lot of the Cummins B (do I have that right?) motors run. My intentions are using one of these on a GM Gen III LS1 Small Block motor. So...to my questions...

#1. A very accurate compressor map, where can I find one?
#2. What kind of boost and air flow would this turbo put out with the OEM waistgate
#3. Compressor size (and does the air silencer make a diff?) as well as turbine housing size and espcially it's A/R ratio.
#4. best place to find aftermarket parts for this model

That's all I can honestly think of right now. To give you something to compair to, the GM Gen III LS1 SB is 346 cubes vs. the cummins 359 (v-8 vs i-6, gas vs diesle I know) and has a very useable RPM range of up to 5500 with OEM springs before valve float starts to take over. I have talked over the standard Garrett stuff with some friends and other board users and the most common seddiment is that a single t-76 with an A/R of about .85-.95 works well, with the 76mm turbo being the smallest one would want to go with. Of course this would be intercooled with an air-to-air and a fuel upgrade to make it run with the intentions of either going to a stroker motor and built motor to put up with more boost and HP later.

Thanks for taking the time to read and look forward to any info you guys and gals can share with me. I'll keep you posted as to what I decide upon.

#2. What kind of boost and air flow would this turbo put out with the OEM waistgate?

All i know about this question is that stock WG setting is around 20psi. Ive read that above 35-40 psi, youre out of the turbo's effective range and youre starting to heat the intake air.

#3. Compressor size (and does the air silencer make a diff?) as well as turbine housing size and espcially it's A/R ratio.[B]

Exhaust housing is 12cm.
Air silencer has had no effect on or off except reducing turbo whine when on.

Hope that helped a little -Jake

That was pretty much everything that I had found out already, though I do appriciate the help. My main concern really falls with finding a good compressor map and knowing what the A/R ratio is. Since I know the factory exhaust housing area (12 sq cm), I just need a radius on the turbine wheel to figure that out, soemthing I haven't found yet in my travels. I'll keep digging and hanging around here, maybe I'll gather some more info and start talking to my dad about doing an upgrade on his truck, lol

WAY too small for an LS1... lots of guys are running them on 2.3 liter Ford 4cyls...

I'd put a pair of HY35's on it.

I did happen to find an ok compressor map off of holset's site and I would agree (after running the converstions to get an approx airflow in lbs/min instead of kg/s) that the HX 35 is a little undersuited as far as filling out an LS1's air requirments. HY35's were used on 01 and 02 Dodge Cummins with auto trans, correct? They flow more air @ lower boost more efficently that the HX?
