Heater Treater installed and now its goofy

I put in 4 Heater Treater doors and now my A/C is acting up. When I pulled everything out, the only thing broke was (1) stop on a white plastic pin but I went ahead and replaced all doors. Anyway, the problem I was having before the install was sometimes I could hear the door flapping and it would'nt cool very good so I thought the door was sealing off the evap core.

Now the new problem. I started on the project @ mid afternoon but ran out of time so I had to leave everything undone and apart until the next morning and like a dummy I didn't take any pictures to keep me straight. I got it put back together the next day, tested my actuators (all checked out) and vacuumed/charged my system. The air will run you out but it acts like its freezing up if you run it wide open and full cold(after :30) and will stop blowing hard out of the vents. On top of that, my heat isn't working very well. About the last 1/4 of the temp dial sends out cold air???? Crazy I know. Where do I start and does anyone have a picture of the HVAC box with actuators in place so I'll know if I got them right?

Vent, def and floor are working correctly.

Any ideas? I bought a service manual and it says to calibrate the system but doesn't say how. I've also read that it'll self calibrate but its been a week and still has the problem.

What would cause the blend door to do this? Also, would the freezing up thing be moisture in the system?

I am confused.

It blow great for thirty seconds then it doesn't? Sounds like a evap core freeze up. Not a door problem.

Red side of Temp control is cold except for last 1/4"? Are you going from A/c to heat while in the drive way? How about going down the road? I would check that you put the doors in the correct position. You may be right and have a few in the wrong position, or not connected.

Do a dual battery disconnect for about thirty seconds to a minute. Then reconnect and see if that helps.

Shawn.

Yep, blows great and then quits blowing out the vents and the tone of the air changes...almost like the difference between fresh and recic. I can turn it off for a couple of minutes and it'll start doing right so I think it might be freezing up...moisture causes that right?

The heat thing is all the time whether I'm in the driveway or tooling down the road. A/C blows cold up till almost halfway on the temp **** and then I can get some heat from 1/2 to 3/4 and then it'll start blowing cool the rest of the way. I'm thinking about switching the blend door actuator with another one and seeing if that fixes it but if not I guess I'll get to take it all apart and try to see what's going on.

Freeze up is due to the evaporator prob being in the wrong location. There is a TSB out that mention to move the probe, but it is depending on what model year you have. It might be found here. (http://dodgeram.info/tsb/index.html)
