Heater Treater
Im not selling nothing.....but i got hit with the same hvac door issues......found both my mode door 1 and door 2 both broke...had air going out the vents and no place else.....really cold feet for the last month......well I checked into this....and Im telling you all now....it is really easy....and well worth doing it. Did all of them in under 3 hrs start to finish, and I couldnt be happier.
It saved me 2100 at the dealer, and I have something now I can say it is fixed for good, no more plastic parts.
I highly recommend this fix.

Follow the instructions to the letter for doors 1 and 2.....the recirc door, remove fan, and work through hole, very easy to do, you dont have to remove grate at all., check motor to hub connector for fit before going forward on each, found mine to have a finger bent and had to straight, makes installing motor a breeze.

The 3 hr fix involves cutting into your plenum box. I opted for the cleaner/neater route and completely removed the box from the truck to R&R the doors. Took me all day long (took my time) but it's well worth it in the end.

Definitely a good fix. I pulled out the entire plenum box and replaced all doors. Heater treated does not make the dual zone doors, so those did not get changed. They say those rarely break. I had a shop pull down and recharge the AC, but I did the rest. Takes a while, but worth it.

this thread shows how the defrost (mode 2) doors was serviced without cutting the box or evac'ing a/c etc.....I have a mode 2 door issue, so plan to try the same process.
