Heater hoses
I recently replaced t stat, rad cap and water pump. Heater started getting cold on drivers side yesterday. I pulled heater hose loose today and there was not much water in the lines. I had warmed up my truck to 195'ish and shut it off. Released the pressure from cap and immediately pulled the heater hoses off. Heater was on for about 10 minutes and hoses where luke warm. I bought my t stat and rad cap at OReillys. Maybe T stat is not working opening properly and not allowing hot water into heater core? My digital temp gun read 145 degrees for passengers side. 128 for Driver sides when truck was at 195'ish on the temp gauge. Maybe I have air trapped in system? Bad "new" t stat?

you have air trapped in the heater core ,
because the heater core is higher then the engine,.
and the hoses run up hill to the heater core ,., you need to bleed the air out of the heater core, ether by adding in line "T" , to the out line of the heater core with a air bleed , above the heater hoses ,
or try a running up a steep incline with the heater on , and the engine up to temp..
