Has anybody had a problem with their lights turning on and off by themselves while driving. I believe thats what is happening, but it could also be switching between hi and low beams.

 

Do they flash and then turn off completely after being on for a little while? if so it may be your headligt switch going out

 

No, they just flash on and off. But end up being on. But now itsalmost like they are switching between daytime running lights and normal lights. But I know they dont have running lights.

I know the town cars would flash when the headlight switch was going. Ask the dealer or the parts guy. They usually know right away

 

Read the post last night before I went to bed. When I got in my truck this morning to head to work I noticed my lights were getting dim then bright. I thought "what the heck". Pulled back into the driveway so the lights would shine on the garage door so I could tell for sure. Sure enough they would get a little bit dimmer and then brighter. Interestingly enough when I would rev the motor they would get brighter. Had to go to work, once I got out on the highway they were fine. Got to work pulled the truck in the shop and they were fine. Will check in the morning and see if the condition happens again.

 

its probably just your grid heater cycling.probably nothing to worry about.

 

Exactly - won't happen when it's warm out.

You are probably correct. It was about 20 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday morning and the lights did not change any. Will check the next cold morning.
