If it's the same switch Dodge has been using for years, then yes.
They've been problematic since day one.

Re:head light switch

This may not be your problem, but if you try to turn off your lights after you shut off the engine, they won't go off unless you flip the switch back to the parking lights and then off again. Our 3rd gen trucks have an automatic light shutoff feature which will turn them off by themselves in about 60 seconds. I turn my lights off before shutting off the engine so I don't run into this issue.

Ditto on this. Not all trucks have this feature, but some do. I'm not sure what the criteria is for including this feature, but I'm sure it depends on the trim line. The first time my headlights stayed on, then went off about a minute later I ran to my owner's manual and researched it. That's when I found out about the delayed light feature (page 84 in the '03 manual). Bottom line is, turn your lights off first, they are out; turn your engine off first, the lights will stay on for 1 minute. This stay-on time is adjustable to several other intervals too (30 or 90 seconds), in case you want to use this feature, but not for 60 seconds. You can also have it programmed for a delay of '0' seconds, which I guess eliminates the delay. The dealer has to perform the programming. :-[

Yep, read your owners manual. Operating as it should.

The cargo lamp also has a timeout feature, although I haven't tried it yet.

Re:head light switch

Hey, thanks for the info - my lights would stay on too, & I thought something was wrong!!

Good to know it's a 'feature'...

Re:head light switch

Speaking of signals, I don't know if the majority of the people here in Missouri even know they have signals, if they do they certainly don't use them.

BTW - I just noticed last night the signals flashed opposite the dash indicator. Only had the truck a month, just haven't done much night driving.
