Having Electrical Issues (speedo, wipers, throttle sensitivity)

I've been having strange electrical issues since i bought this truck. Just recently it seems to occur more frequently. What happens is all of a sudden my speedometer needle will fluctuate and my wipers will come on. I also notice that when this happens I lose some throttle sensitivity.

These issues are somehow tied together because they all happen at the same time. Anyone have similiar issues?

hmm I'll have to watch for that next time it happens. Have you had any other programmers other than Smarty?

Pretty sure the owner before me had an edge on it but Im not sure. It had the velcro on the fusebox and he installed a fass stacks and gauges so he must have had something. I did notice that this problem started soon after the smarty was installed. It is so random that I really cant even begin to imagine what is causing it.

I would look and see if they are all tied together in some sort of wiring harness and start from there. Could be something like a bad ground. It seems like the PCM controls just about everything on these trucks.

Yeah exactly it is very random, the Smarty might have been a factor, I'm not sure though. The throttle sensitivity is very noticeable for me, I have to depress the pedal quite a bit more to get the same power. Hopefully there is someone on these boards that has fixed this...

The throttle sensitivty is very noticable to me as well at first I thought the smarty was being completely negated but if you really push the pedal in it still smokes and runs like it should. Ill go a couple days without anything happening then all the sudden ding and the brake lights come on and here we go. Its really annoying.
