Guys with 06's..has anyone painted the chrome headlights to match the body??

I think it would look pretty **** good. Ive been tossing the idea around...if they are the same as other vehicles you have to pull everything off and bake them in the oven for a bit to loosen up the silicone, pry it apart, paint the chrome and then get some silicone to put it back together. I think im going to photoshop it to see what it looks like in a day or so...let me know, Jason

I did it on a Focus I had a few years ago. It was a dark blue car and I used flat black paint on the chrome. I was happy with the way it came out. I did the bake in the oven thing and it was still a major pain in the a$$.

im going to do it as soon as i get some time..it kind of scares me bc i dont want to mess anything up..lol. What do the stock headlights cost incase i screw something up?

Great instructions but I was hoping to see some pics of it done on an "06. It will change the look of the truck alot more on the '06 due to the larger headlights... blend them in more. Seeing it done on a darker color would be nice also. Asking alot I know
They guy that did the thread is only charging $50 to do others. If I lived in the US that's the way I'd be doing them, lol, hands down.
