Guage Hole Plug

I would like to find a plug for one of the holes in the dash top pod. 3 holes but only 2 guages to put in it........ Searched every term I could think of and can't come up with one.
Thanks

Go to the Mc Master carr website and see if they do not have metal plugs the proper size. You minght have to paint, but I bet it would click right in.

Go to page 3671 in Mc Master Carr. They have 2" metal ones with a 2 1/4 " head. Yu could slip it in and center and bend the legs to capture. On that same page they have plastic ones as well.

Why not add a third gauge? I'm going to assume you added pyro and trans temp? I know some people don't care for a boost gauge, but it fills the hole. Depending on the manufacturer of the other gauges there might be a clock gauge or something? I know Autometer and VDO make them.

I'm taking delivery of my 06 tomorrow and will be adding gauges eventually.

Have Pyro in the SRT10 Pillar, Boost and Fuel in the dash pod. Just can't decide between a tranny temp (G56 so is it usefull?) or a rail pressure for the last available hole. Tired of looking at the hole right now though!!!!

Thats just it, I have no intention of changing any tuning or fueling parameters from stock, but I do work this truck pretty hard! It's no grocerie getter!

it's still a good tuning/troubleshooting tool... I mean, why have boost/pyro/fuel if the truck is stock? so that you can see if there's a problem... well, rail pressure is the heart and soul of the CR's performance

Good point, makes more sense than a tranny temp in the G56!

definately... unless you pull VERY heavy all the time... in which case, I'd probably just put some fast coolers on it and call it good
