General Question?

Has any one heard or experienced any pros or cons withe the workhorse performance module? Sounds like a much safer version on the motor to increase hp and mpg's! Any input would be welcomed! Thanks DHT

From the part numbers it appears to be a re-badged Dr. Performance Module -- The part numbers are "strangely similar."

+++++++++++++++++++

Product Information

THIS IS THE 325 HORSEPOWER - 600+ FL/LB OF TORQUE ENGINE

80 Horsepower - 160 ft/lb Torque

MORE POWER... LESS FUEL

Price: $695.00

Product Code: 2017WH

Now, from the Dr. Performance Site:

Part# 2017 2004.5-2006 Dodge Cummins 'Stage I' 85 HP @ 160 FPT

Interesting, aye?

Also -- The Ferd and Chevy Partnumbers Cross-Reference Too...

Pros or Cons?

Jay do you have this own yours or do you know anyone that has used it? Do you think it will effect the longevity of the motor?

Interesting you should ask. I had the Dr. Performance 2018 (not currently offered -- not sure why) and it was the Stage IV I think. It was not adjustable -- just a plug in box. Huge power increase. Really amazing. Didn't dyno. But had the fear that it was too aggressive for my tastes and so I removed it. I think their current products are more tame and they've gone the adjustable route on their high-end stuff now.

I think a downloader with multiple levels and a clear understanding of what they're doing is better & safer. But you'll get a zillion opinions so I'm just one. Dr. Performance is extremely vague about what they're doing and they've not made some who are inquisitive feel safe using them.

I really would rather have a downloader like the DiabloSport Predator (different product totally), Smarty or Superchips Flashpaq.

Comments!

Thanks! Anyone else? My biggest concern is the truck is out of warranty and I don't want to do anything that could cause major damage to the motor or hurt the longevity of it! But some additional torgue and extra MPG's would be great if only their were a safe way to do this! The Dr performance and the Workhorse module claim they are the only safe ones to have but I'm still a little timid!
