Front suspension weak?
I just made 10,000 miles on my 2500 CTD. I have a 5th wheel toy hauler that weighs approx 10,000 lbs. loaded. I have pulled it probably 1/2 of the miles showing on the odometer.
Seems like I heard recently about some 1 ton's that had the wrong springs installed. I saw something on a recall site referencing that issue. But nothing regarding the 3/4 ton trucks. Anyone besides me feel that the shocks or springs in the front may be a little weak? Clearance on the yellow rubber piece that keeps the a-frames from bottoming is only about 1 1/2 to 2". It appears that they are touching regularly as in shiney.

I believe there's a TSB and it is for the 2500/3500 models - NON 4X4 if I'm not mistaken.
It is for replacement of springs that have been found to be too weak. Do a search here as it was dicussed a few weeks ago. Also check out Genos website for ALL TSB's. It WILL raise your front end (from what others have said that have had it done).
Good luck!

I believe the issue is only with a certain '05 3500 series 2wd duallies only.
Regular contact with the joust bumpers is normal for the front suspension. Acts like a secondary shock absorber for the suspension.
