Front end "clicking" Wheel bearings?

Recently hearing a clicking noise in the front end....First it was in the front right, now I can hear it on both sides...Very pronounced during turns....Cant hear it in the cab, only when Ive got the windows down....I am guessing its wheel bearings??? 45K on the truck

Any tips or recommendations on packing/replacing them myself?

I would check the front axle u-joints. The factory units are sealed and can't be greased.

Ok...Gotta go thru the bearing to get to the u-joints....So the bearings will get serviced along the way to checking the u-joints...This shouldnt be too bad but Im a edit magnet....We'll see how it goes...Thanx

I'm getting ready to do my axle u-joints and ball joints next weekend. I also have to do shocks all around, back brakes, parking brake cable and drive shaft u-joints. It's gonna be a long weekend.

How will you service the bearings? They the hubs are sealed units. Your sound sounds like the noise my truck made when a front axle U-joint cap had broken. My U-joints took a fire wrench to remove.

I'm hearing a clicking sound also but I'm wondering if a u-joint yoke is having a clearance issue because I've got sloppy ball joints.

Gotta replace the ball joints on both sides so I guess I'll replace the u joints while in in there. Does anyone know what size Spicer joint is appropriate for the axle on my 04'? I'm assuming it is an AAM axle, how can this be verfied?

Hope you don't feel as if I'm hijacking your thread OP, it seems that any info I've requested could also be useful to you.

From what your describing, it sounds like one of your sway bar endlinks went south. You can feel the heat in a u-joint thats gone bad or raise up truck and spin the wheels. Shouldnt be hard to see if its a u-joint thats clickin. Dont forget to check the front driveshaft aswell. Also, an 06 and, an 07 that i had both came with the wrong size bolt in the track bar, actually wrong shank size. About drove me nuts till i read about it on here and checked it. Same symptoms aswell.
