Talking a former psd man

In 2003 my wife and I purchased a F-250 four door lariet with the 6.0 psd. In November 04, we filled arbitrations with FORD due to 27 pages of service problems. After 4 blown turbos and three rear main seals and a nicely melted trainy harness, just to name a few. Ford repurchased the truck back and re-embursed us for every penny we had invested. On Feb 8th we recieved our new 05 2500 four door 610 cummins with 8 foot bed 4x4 laramie in atlantic pearl blue with dvd nav 48re, We love it. NO death wobble runs great.

Welcome to the DTR, there is more info on here than one brain can absorb, hope your wife loves the truck as much as you! The search feature will be your best friend for a while. Best of luck with the mighty Cummins.

I'm afraid alote more of this kind of behavier is going to happen especially when Dodge offers the biggest cabs in all three styles--standard, extended (my personel favourite) and - soon - crew cab.
Hopefully the lack of a crew + long bed combo will keep a few of em' from jumping over here & ruining a perfectly good forum .

Just kidden - theres always room for one more.

Welcome aboard!

Congrats on the new truck. I convinced my brother 8 months ago to cross over from the dark side. He doesn't regret it one bit. Hold onto your wallet once you start readin/searchin around TDR, (You'll see what I mean).
P.S. How does the wife like HER new truck?

Congradulations on your arbitration outcome with Ford. Sorry to hear about the highlights of it and sympathise with you for the headaches. Welcome to the Dodge side . Hope your experiences with this truck balance out the previous truck. Welcom abord.

I had an 02 PSD XLT Lariat.. Loved the truck for the Comfort. auto headlights, dual sunvisors, very large comfortable seats, turn the truck off and the radio would still play and the power windows would still work etc... But it was the Engine!!! Oil leaks, Fuel Cackle..... Love the Dodge.. A far superior 4x4 system, Better engine, .....Good Luck...

Congrats on new rig.

I am also a former PSD man. My last PSD (7.3) was trouble free. I just wanted more power. Like Buckshotmckee said above, it was my brother who convinced me to switch sides (I'm talking about my truck here ). It was not what he "said" that convinced me, it was what he could "do". When we were on trips, pulling heavy loads, he'd pass me on the hills going 65mph - I'd be doing 35-40 w/ my pyro showing 1450F. I sold that Ford and bought a new CTD and I there is no doubt that this is the best pickup I have ever owned.
