so i returned last night from a 900 mile trip forging through rain and darkness and i happened to notice at one food stop along the way when i returned to the truck my fog lights were on. i thought nothing of this until i got to my house and as i was unloading the bed i noticed the fog lights were on again. i double checked the switch and it was off, i then turned the lights on and with them on turned the fog lights off and then proceeded to turn off the headlights and the fog lights came back on after about 1min. i ended up disconnecting the battery for the night. does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

 

Sounds like a possible switch issue or a relay issue.

 

My buddy has a 2002 gasser (same as 3rd gen though) that was doing this, it was the switch.

tried the switch and it was a no go. so now i am trying the relay

its no big deal SOhappy, i returned the switch and got a relay. now the problem is i cannot find where this thing goes. does anyone know where the fog lamp relay is located?
