good tire for the money

20k on mine, 3 k of that towing and probably 10k more, haven't rotated.

Seem fine in the rain, only been in snow once, no complaints.

Hold pressure very well and I'd buy again.

Mine have about 45k on them. No complaints at all. Have held up very well. However they now look like a set of racing slicks....hhmmm, dually slicks...anywho, back to the subject. Yeah they have been an all around great tire for me...mud, rain, snow no problem. I am in need of another set as I have already stated. Just don't go for any red light launches if they're slick and it's been raining..I think you get the picture!!

These aren't TOP quality tires when compared to a Toyo or Michelin but they are excellent value for the price, way lower price than the above mentioned tires.

I have them, make it up my snow covered driveway without going into 4x4 for the first time since I have had this truck. I had them on my former plow truck also, that was why I went with them again.

We use them at work on every truck from 1/2 ton to F-450s. We use the HT and AT. Use HT on trailers also. No problems at all. I think we get them for $140 installed. I am running the HT on the front of my truck in sig.
Im going to set a set of Transforce AT for the wifes duramax some time this spring. Great tire Great Price.

We use the HTs at the Airport where I work on the runway inspection trucks.

Runway inspection involves installing a decelormeter into a truck then disabling its ABS and running down the runway at 50mph and nailing the brakes, repeatedly.

The deceleromter calculates how slippery the runway is due is snow/ice/rain/rubber buildup etc and translated that into a reportable number(friction index).

As you can imagine this is VERY hard on tires. I've seen trucks come back with bald spots on them from locking up the tires. We use the Transforce HTs on these trucks exclusively as they are the only tire we've found to hold up.

Everything else gets Nokians, can't beat them on snow/ice but are pretty soft.

I run them on my trucks that tow alot and they're the best!
You pay for the tire not the "name" of some of those more $$ tires.
Remember that they 're a work tire, and I have got over 140,000 on more than 1 set.Rotate every 10,000 though.

How many more then 1?? Like 4 sets? Got about 25k on mine and they've got about 25% left only. Truck never tows anything heavy, no burnouts (maybe 1 or 2).
I think they stink in the snow too. Even when they were almost new, not enough bite.
Good highway tire though. Quiet, balance easy, good price.

Thanks for the input. I have bridgestone duravis on my truck now with 44k on them and they have about an 1/8 of an inch tred left. I only rotated them three times. Payed right at 900.00 for them and I can get the trasnforce for 795.00 out the door. Time to decide.

I had the HT tread for my last set and they wired very well, but my current Dura-Grapplers are doing better.

I have about 45K on mine. They wear very well. If not towing, I think 75K miles is pretty doable for these. I know I'll see 60K. I like the tires, but I'm going to try to find something a little better in the snow. Thse do OK in the snow, but since mine's a 2WD, I need a bit better winter performance.

firestone transforce at's

I ran a set of 265-75-16 load range E transforce at's tires and traveled on a lot of crushed rock roads and i only got 37,000 miles out of my set. the tread got a lot of cuts and chunks out of it and wore down quickly. I was a whole lot more happier with the Michilens that I had ran previously.

anyway that was my experience, I went back to Michilens.
