Fan clutch problems
Fan clutch problems
My fan clutch has bene staying on a lot, so I took it into the dealer. They too noticed this and replaced the fan clutch but it did not change anything as far as the fan staying on all of the time. I thought it was weird that they did nothing else, so I am throwing this out there to see what else could be causing this.
While it was there, they did a program upgrade too that is supposed to make the shift of my tranny better as well as the fuel mileage...but I have not had any chance to check that out yet.

mine when it is warmer out, will stay engaged when cold engine until the engine gets some speed, then it seems to kick the fan into a freewheel mode... mine fan clutch has been replaced 'cause i had a p0483 code...
do you have the A/C controls in defrost mode??? If you do then the A/C compressor will be on just like the A/C is on and cause the fan to kick in alot.
They also need to check the tranny and power steering fluid flow because when one of them get hot it will cause the fan to come on to help cool them down

Fluid Levels
SG,
I think that is the problem as I do not keep the controls in defrost mode. I was having some shifting problems when I brought it in to the dealer, and they did the software upgrade to try to fix this. I can check the tranny levels tonight, and will have to look into the steering fluid leve. What you stated makes sense.
