Experiences with Cooper Discoverer Tires?

I've heard of people having great experiences with the Cooper Discoverer brand of tires. However, I've also heard of some of them blowing-up.

I live in Phoenix, AZ.(Desert) and was wondering if the excessive heat may be a bit too much for them. Have any of you "Desert Dwellers" had good or bad experiences with them?

I like some of the tread patterns they have available.

Thanks.

My wife's ride had a set of the Cooper TRX mud tires on it when I bought, they didn't wear very well. I had a set of the Discoverer AT's on a truck about 10 years ago, but sold it not long afterwards, can't tell you much about them.

Cooper ATR's here is NO problems. Very little wear in 15K miles... but I am headed for the Texas heat... It is not here yet. Thank goodness.

Cooper S/T's ...mine are wearing like iron....great traction on and off road....noisier than BFG A/T but way less than M/T. I expect to get 50 to 65k miles out of mine if I ride them till they get canvas. I'm in a cool climate but they seem to stay cool when towing heavy and I tow alot heavy and they are great for that. ks

A buddy of mine has run three sets of S/Ts past 50k. Lots of towing, lots of gravel roads and he drives hard, he lives in Louisiana. He drives a Supreduty with Ranch Hands, so he has similar weight on his tires. He rotates them about every 7k.

I've got about 15k on my S/T-C's and no complaints here. They are wearing very well. Keep'em aired up cause I pull often. I have a set of S/T's on my 79 Chevy and they have been on that truck since 2001. A+ tires in my book.

I just a set of 285 ATRs about 600 miles ago, but so far, they are great. Traction on wet pavement is a lot better than the rugged trails the truck came with
