Myself, I unclipped the last clip and tucked it down by the tow hook, so I can reach it through the hole in the bumper...

I did the same thing but I had to buy mine and install it. I put it behind the bumper where it is not visible normaly. When I need it I stick my hand threw the hole and pull it out. This also keeps it from flailing around going down the road and wrecking paint.

I ziptied mine to the rear of the tow hook and left enough slack to stick it back through the space in the bumper when not in use. Seems to work great. You would never notice the cord ziptied to the tow hook unless you were looking specifically for it or I had it out to plug it in.

How much does the extension cost? Where did you buy it? Dealer? I went to the dealer today and they gave me price of 60.00 +/-. Is this normal?

No. Its high. The cost for the cord if ordered as an option is $10.00. I beleive most dealers quote a price of around $30.00 for the cord if bought from them.

Get them direct from Cummins instead of the Dodge dealer if there is one close to you. Mine was about 10.00 there.
