Emissions--SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!!!
Emissions--SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!!!
Ok, so I failed emissions around a month ago, lady at the test facility said she never saw a diesel fail. Changed to Valvoline Premium blue oil and started running B20. Went back for re-test, another lady at the place also said never saw a diesel fail. It usually takes about 5 minutes to get tested. I was in the test bay fro 35 minutes! They had no clue what they were doing I could honestly tell. She asked me if I had had any work done and I told her the things I had done and she eventually printed out my test paper and said you passed honey. She was nice but it is obviously a scam and they are clueless. When I failed the first time the opacity was 12% and it can't be over 10% --the second time it didn't even print out any number at all because I know they didn't even test it. This also happened with my F350 Powerstroke 4 years ago. SCAM_SCAM_SCAM!!!!! Just another way for the gov. to get some of your $!!!!
Many people know it is.
Did you know most new cars since cat converters were first installed, did NOT need them, and they do no good on a new properly functioning gas motor until it is wearing out?? I've seen many cars pass emmissions testing with missing or gutted converters. It only works when there is un burnt fuel passing thru it!!! Millions if not billions of dollars spent by consumers for no valid reason!! EPA eliminate petroleum altogether.

Yeah, total sham.
Last emissions I had to do was when I was in high school and my mom and I took our cars down at the same time (in IL). My 1970 Impala, 400SB engine, cam, duals, not the cleanest burning thing, but pretty fast passed.
Her 1 year old 1989 Chevy Impala did not pass and had to go a 2nd round. My printout showed cleaner emissions than hers! No effin way, although I did run it real hard/hot right before bringing it in and disconnected the secondaries on the carb!
