CA Emissions 12 valve differences?
CA Emissions 12 valve differences?
Found a nice 12valve, but it is a California truck. I know they have EGR, and different pump settings. What else is different? It would get a custom pump and an ATS manifold anyway. I have done quite a few 12 valves, but never even seen a CA truck, is there anything that would keep it from being a 450-500hp truck, that I can't change?

WTTD: what year is this truck? if it's a 94-95 it won't have any california Emmisions at all, just the baby 160 HP pump capable of about 425-450 HP TOPS!..if it's a 96-98 12 valve,it'll either have 175 or 180 hp pump depending on transmission...i don't think Cali ever had a 215 pump. ALL 96-98's will also have the EGR valve that needs to be taken off the air-horn and exhaust manifold.Any more questions?

With the right mods, I don't see any problem getting the power you want. Mine is a California 12valve, not like thiers a computer to limit things, just some bolt on and off parts ;D
